The College of Engineering at Gulf University conducted a site visit on Thursday the 8th of February 2024 to Bahrain Fiberglass, (BFG) company. Engineering students from interior design engineering, Mechanical engineering and Electrical & Electronic engineering programs participated in the site visit along with their instructors.
The visit aimed to provide students with a practical understanding of the manufacturing process of fiberglass products and its application in various industries.
The students were welcomed by the BFG team, before going in a tour of the production facility where students were able to witness the entire process from raw materials to finished products. They were also able to interact with the engineers and technicians and ask questions about the machinery and techniques used in the production process.
Apart from the technical aspects, the visit also highlighted the importance of teamwork and collaboration in a manufacturing environment. Students were able to see how different departments within the company work together seamlessly to ensure the smooth functioning of the production process. During the site visit, the students had the opportunity to clarify any doubts or queries they had about the manufacturing process.
Overall, the site visit was an enriching experience for the students, providing them with a deeper understanding of the practical applications of their engineering studies.
