Gulf University to Launch Global Congress on Innovation and Advanced Technology Next OctoberÂ
Gulf University has announced the launch of the first edition of the Global Congress on Innovation and Advanced Technology (ICIAT-2024), set to take place from October 30 to 31. The event aims to enhance innovation and knowledge exchange in advanced technology fields on a global scale, with the participation of a distinguished group of experts, academics, and decision-makers.
Professor Mona Rashid Al-Zayani, Chair of the Board of Trustees and the Board of Directors, stated that organizing this congress reflects Gulf University’s commitment to supporting scientific research and technological development. She explained that the strategic plan focuses on digital transformation within the university, scientific research, and innovation.
Professor Mona Rashid Al-Zayani added, “We are proud to provide a platform that brings together scientists and professionals to exchange ideas and insights that contribute to societal progress. We hope that the congress will serve as a catalyst for innovation and global collaboration in advanced technology fields.”
She noted that the Board of Trustees is keen to support all initiatives that strengthen the educational process, enhance program quality, refine student skills, and advance the educational landscape in scientific research, learning projects, and community service. This aligns with the requirements of the Bahraini labor market and highlights the university’s graduates as capable future leaders.
Professor Mohannad Al-Mashhadani, President of the university, said, “We are delighted to host the Global Congress on Innovation and Advanced Technology in Bahrain. We look forward to this event being a global platform for exchanging innovative ideas and technological solutions.”
Professor Mohannad Al-Mashhadani indicated that the congress aims to foster collaboration between universities, research institutions, and technology companies to create a better future based on innovation and knowledge. He added that the congress embodies the university’s vision to enhance innovation and technology in the region and contribute to community development through knowledge and experience exchange. It also reflects the university’s commitment to supporting Vision 2030 by promoting technological innovation, sustainable development, and strengthening Bahrain’s position as a leading regional center in technology and innovation.
He further emphasized that the congress pays special attention to sustainability, addressing how to integrate technological innovations with environmental initiatives to achieve sustainable development goals and promote practices that contribute to long-term sustainable development.
Dr. Mohamed Al-Sheikhly, Head of the Scientific Research Council at Gulf University, confirmed that the Global Congress on Innovation and Advanced Technology presents a unique opportunity for participants to exchange experiences and knowledge in advanced innovation and technology fields.
Dr. Mohamed Al-Sheikhly added, “We believe that international collaboration is key to scientific and technological progress, and through this event, we aim to strengthen academic and research relationships among institutions worldwide.”
He explained that the congress will feature four concurrent conferences covering distinct areas, including the Third International Conference on Advanced Sciences, Engineering, and Technology (ICSEAT), the Fourth International Conference on Digital Media and Artificial Intelligence Technology (DMAITM), the Third International Conference on Business Transformation, Innovation, and Digital Sustainability (ICBDTIS), and the First International Conference on Digital Law and Technological Developments (ICDLTA), which will examine the impact of technological advancements on legal frameworks.
Dr. Mohamed Al-Sheikhly highlighted that the congress seeks to promote interdisciplinary collaboration by gathering researchers, academics, and specialists from various fields such as science, engineering, digital media, artificial intelligence, business, and law.
The congress focuses on encouraging technological innovation through showcasing the latest research and technologies, providing innovative solutions to global challenges such as sustainability, digital transformation, and legal implications of technological advancements.
