Target Audience Engineers from different Industries, University Students (Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering disciplines)

 
Objectives The workshop introduces trainees to laser systems and their applications with a particular focus on industrial lasers and their engineering applications.
Topics Topics covered are the basics of laser technology, characteristics of laser radiation, design aspects of industrial laser systems, an overview of industrial laser materials processing, engineering materials and their behavior during laser processing, and safety standards for laser applications. The workshop includes some practical applications on material processing utilizing the industrial CO2 laser system at the university mechanical workshop.
